NSF 61 O-Rings
NSF 61 sets the standards in the regulation of components, devices and
equipment that comes into contact with potable water, components such as
o-rings, rubber seals and gaskets. In order to ensure that contaminants and
toxic substances are not leached into drinking water supply systems giving
rise to adverse health effects, NSF 61 requirements excludes the use of
certain types of durability enhancement compounding additive and fillers. It
is important that the level of ingredients used should not exceed the
minimum necessary to achieve the physical property specifications. The
challenge is in the development of a material that has the desirable
resistance to chloramine and does not deform during the process of
installation and assembly.
Gmors manufacturers potable water o-rings, seals and gaskets that comply
with or exceed the requirements of NSF 61. We understand our customers¡¦
needs and work closely with them to develop solutions.
Potable water seals developed by Gmors include EPDM and NBR peroxide cured elastomeric
compounds, with Shore A hardness ranging from 60 to 90, and certified
temperature range of up to 85¢XC. We also offer both peroxide and sulfur cured
NSF 61 approved compounds for the North American market.
