ACS (Attestation De Conformite Sanitaire) Certification 

In France, approval of material safety for use in products and components that comes into contact with drinking water is through an ACS Certification. The ACS Certificate of Sanitary Conformity was introduced in 1998 and the purpose of the regulation is to ensure that components that are in contact with drinking water do not give rise to organic deterioration, alteration of the organoleptic properties of water, the promotion of the growth of microorganisms and the imparting of toxic substances in the water. 

ACS Certification is a strict requirement in France for all products, components and materials used in devices and equipment that comes into contact with drinking water..
